While we are still getting snowstorms here in Western New York, this past weekend’s arrival of daylight savings time is a good reminder that spring is on the way!  And even though Mother Nature hasn’t got the memo yet, we are super excited for spring.  Spring time means the return of being able to stay outside, play and generally enjoy the weather again.

As a mom, one of my tasks every year is trying to get some spring cleaning done.  Something that I’ve been super interested in lately is really getting organizing and downsizing the amount of “stuff” in the house.  While I’m not getting rid of everything we own for sure, it’s definitely true that it’s easier to stay clean and organized on a daily and weekly basis when there is less clutter.   So I’m taking this time in early spring to take a look around, organize, deep clean and generally get a jump on spring cleaning and organization! Because doesn’t it feel AWESOME when it’s done!

The problem with spring cleaning and organizing is that it’s time consuming…and tiring.   I recently made a go out of sorting all of my handbags out of my closet and really deciding what I wanted to keep…here’s the pile I came up with to get rid of (impressive, huh!).

My kids were even inspired to start cleaning out their toy rooms and closets!  The only thing is, is that after a long day, the thought of spending an hour or so in the kitchen is daunting…which is where On-Cor saves the day for me! On-Cor has a simple mission—to offer quality, multi-serve entrées that everyone in your family will love – and mine sure does! On-Cor is just a freezer away for an easy family dinner rescue for “one of those nights.”

The best thing about On-Cor is that there is ZERO prep.  They are frozen, fully-cooked and come conveniently packaged and ready to heat and serve in your oven.  I LOVE that this frees me up to do other tasks – like get the house cleaned up, picked up, and ready for the next day.  It’s a great time for the kids to help too – after homework is done and before dinner.  Set your kids up with some fun cleaning tools that are just for them and watch them go.  Katie’s favorite way to help is dusting, but both of my girls will pretty much pitch in from everything from laundry to vacuuming, which is AWESOME!

On-Cor meals take around 45 minutes to heat up, which is perfect for getting things done and working up an appetite! A number of entrées, including the Gravy & Sliced White Meat Turkey that we tried after our day of organizing, now has 20 percent more meat, so there is plenty to keep a hungry family satisfied.  There was enough meat to feed all three of us and have leftovers for the next day.

On-Cor meals are also SUPER versatile – you can eat them as is, or you can add a couple things and have an awesome spin! We added garlic bread to our Gravy & Sliced White Meat Turkey to make yummy open-faced sandwiches after our afternoon of organizing.  And you can feel good about what you are giving your family – all entrées have no monosodium glutamate (MSG) added, and the labels are super easy to tell what you are feeding your family!

For your next family meal to help you get ahead while dinner is in the oven, head to the freezer aisle of Wal-Mart or or check out the store locator at to pick up one of On-Cor’s entrées. For additional information about the entrées, visit and!

My favorite on-cor entree is the Lasagna with Meat Sauce.
My spring cleaning tip is to focus on one room or area at a time so to not get overwhelmed.

I like the Penne pasta with meatballs and the Lasagna! A Spring cleaning tip? Don’t try to do it all at once, start in one small area, such as a closet and when that is done, tackle the next problem area.
