Saddle up and enjoy the ride of a lifetime in A Horse Tale, starring Charisma Carpenter and Patrick Muldoon alongside Dominique Swain and Mandalynn Carlson, arriving on DVD (plus Digital), Digital HD and On Demand November 17 from Lionsgate Home Entertainment. The heart-warming story about one family’s determination to save their farm in time for Christmas promotes the importance of working together as a family.
Uptight city accountant, Michael Thompson (Muldoon), is struggling to raise his teenage daughter Chloe (Carlson) all on his own. So when he gets a call from Cliff Harrison (Rick Herod) to help save their family stables before ruthless bank managers shut them down, he wonders if the country life is just what they need to start over. Michael takes the job, even though he quickly finds out that Cliff’s daughter (Carpenter) is not as keen as the rest of the family for his help. But as they search for ways to save the family’s legacy, they find a future that they never expected.
We have a great love for horses. The girls have horses that they show, and my husband even has a mini-horse! I don’t know that there has ever been a horse movie made that I didn’t like, but some of them have scenes that are inappropriate for some of us. You won’t have to worry about awkward moments when you watch this with your family. I really like that it is even safe to give the girls to watch at a slumber party!
With a message that really promotes the importance of working together as a family, A Horse Tale is a great film to reinforce the lessons of valuing hard work, family, togetherness, and acceptance. We enjoy family movie nights during the holidays. There is nothing quite as great as throwing on the pj’s and all passing around the snacks and watching a really fun movie. This movie is a great choice for the whole family – and I promise you won’t be disappointed.
