This is a great time of year to snuggle up and watch Christmas movies, and we try to take as much time as we can to relax and wind down from all the holiday craziness.  So we were super excited to head to Walmart to take advantage of an AWESOME deal they have going this holiday season.  When ever you purchase 10 2-liters of A&W®, 7UP®, Canada Dry®, Sunkist®, SUN DROP®, RC Cola®,  or Squirt® or when you buy five 0.5L 6-packs during December, you receive a $5 VUDU credit that you can use to watch movies with your family!  It’s super easy to do – just purchase your soda, keep your receipt, and head to the special website for this promotion. Take a photo of your entire receipt clearly showing the qualifying items and log in or create an account to submit your receipt. Within 48 hours, you should receive an email for a $5 VUDU movie credit on It’s really, really easy to submit for – it took just a couple of minutes! So I was thrilled to pick up 10 2-liters (which will last us through New Year’s Eve) for only $1.00 each at Walmart this December! And I was super excited to create an awesome movie night with our kiddos.

We started by creating an awesome fizzy punch using Canada Dry® ginger ale.  This is SO easy! Start by adding 2 cups of pineapple juice, 2 cups of cranberry juice, and a 2 liter bottle of ginger ale.  Top with ice and you are pretty much done!

We wanted to make our drinks just a little more special so we rimmed our glasses in sugar! It’s super easy – run a lime lightly around the edge and dip in sugar, and you have beautiful cups for your movie night!

Next, drop some fresh, tart cranberries into each glass, and when you pour, they will float and make a beautiful, easy little punch!

Prepping for the rest of our movie night was easy – we picked up some adorable Christmas popcorn buckets and Santa cups from Walmart, which we filled with peppermints, and our holiday movie buffet was set!

While the kids were engrossed in their movie, my husband and I snuck off to create a second surprise for the kids – RC Peppermint Coke Floats.  These are so easy – start with vanilla ice cream and pour RC cola over the top.

Then, top with peppermint baking crumbles, and a peppermint spoon (you can find them at Walmart) and you have the perfect holiday surprise ending to your movie night!

So there you have our perfect movie night.  What movie would you watch with your $5 VUDU credit?  How would you make your movie night special?
