All American1

Are you looking forward to My All American?  I know we are – I loved movies based on true sports stories (hello, The Blind Side!) and we are huge college football fans!  Haven’t heard about the movie yet?  Here’s a little bit about it:

What Freddie Steinmark wants most in the world is to play football. Deemed too small by the usual athletic standards, his father trains him hard, and Freddie brings a fight to the game that ultimately gets him noticed – by none other than legendary University of Texas coach Darrell Royal. Awarded a scholarship and a chance to play for the Longhorns, Freddie sets off to Austin determined to make the team. Alongside his old teammate Bobby Mitchell and new pal James Street they rise to the occassion, giving the Longhorns a real chance to turn the team around. But just when they’re reveling in the success of the season, Freddie suffers an injury that leads him to a shocking diagnosis and the biggest challenge he will ever face.
Now, I LOVE my Sooners, but I’m still looking forward to this movie – I love when there is a heart-warming movie that my whole family can enjoy, and My All American seems to fit the bill!
To celebrate it’s opening on November 13, Clarius Entertainment is offering you an awesome prize pack!  If you are a US resident, and haven’t won the same prize on another blog, you could win a  $25 Gift Card, My All American Long Sleeve T-shirt, My All American Hat and My All American Cinch Sack.

Ooo – it’s hard to think of just one favorite sports movie because there are a lot. I guess I’d have to go with the one that popped into my head first, and that I can watch a million times over again – ‘Any Given Sunday’. There are a lot of characters in it and their stories are interesting.

I really like the Remember the Titans movie. What a great part of our history and a hopeful story. This new move looks cool too! We’re near Austin, so “Hook ’em Horns!” My husband would be so excited to win this!

I love the movie Radio! It was filmed in Anderson, South Carolina, which isn’t too far from where I lived during elementary school. My husband actually grew up in Anderson and went to high school there, so he was very familiar with the real life Radio. While we were dating in college, he took me to one of the T.L. Hanna High School game, and I got to meet the real Radio, which made watching the movie that much more enjoyable! :D
