In our family, the holidays are about so much more than presents. Every year my family and I participate in a variety of programs to help the needy. When I heard about UPS and their Wishes Delivered Campaign, I was so thrilled. Through this campaign we can reach out to others on a global scale.

I have wished that no child will go without something they need during the holidays. Now, I know it’s a long shot, however it is a wish that I am passionate about. My most sincere hope is that one day, UPS could make a special delivery to all families that have gone without.

The holidays are my favorite time of year. The lights, trees, and the music always make me smile. It’s wonderful. The best part of the season to me is the thoughts and feelings that come from this time of year. During the holidays people just seem nicer. They will often be more generous, accepting, and loving as well. To me, it really is the most wonderful part of the year. I love getting swept up in the joy of doing something nice for someone else, no matter how big or small.

One of the things I am the most passionate about all year long, and especially during the holidays is for every child no matter who or where they are to feel loved. I wish that every single child worldwide could have the opportunity to experience true love. To know that no matter what turmoil surrounds their family they are not alone. The best way I know how to do this is whenever I see a child I smile and give a nod or a wave.

My sister works as a director in a Daycare and I stop by their twice a month to sing songs to the kids, read stories, and do crafts with them. It is my way of giving these kids some support and providing an ear that listens when needed, and I make sure to give them a BIG smile each time I see them. I also donate to worthy causes that help children when I can.

At UPS, they believe every single package that arrives on someone’s doorstep began with a wish. The employees of UPS work relentlessly to deliver wishes every day during the holiday season and all year long. This season, UPS wanted to share some magical stories and to make it even more special by asking for your help.

Bear with me while I explain:

For each wish that is submitted with the hashtag of #WishesDelivered, a donation in the amount of $1 will be made by UPS to one of 3 charity partners (Toys for Tots, Boys & Girls Club, or Salvation Army) up to $100K! It is incredible!

How can you help?

The Wishes Delivered Campaign by UPS will donate $1 to one of three charity partners for each wish that is submitted. (up to $100K in total donations.) I already submitted my wish through their website, and you could too!

Here is How to Submit a Wish:

Make a post to Instagram or Twitter using the campaign hashtag #WishesDelivered and it is an automatic submission. You can also visit the UPS #WishesDelivered site and then you can manually submit your wish.

Here’s a Few Things to remember when submit your wish:

  • The wish needs to be sincere, not one that is superficial – so no wishing to win the lottery or to win a million dollars.
  • The wish has to be for someone other than yourself, because the holiday season is about giving.
  • You have to include the hashtag #WishesDelivered in your wish (on Instagram or Twitter).

What is something you wish for this holiday season?
