Thank you to SVERVE and Walmart for the opportunity to review this product! All opinions our my own.
It’s that time again – Holiday time! Now, I know it’s only October, but now is a good time to jump on those holiday shopping lists and get them knocked out with Walmart! I learned with my older kids, that in order to get those “hot”, “must have” toys, you have to start shopping early! You know how it goes, the items that are in the most demand are the first ones to disappear off of the shelves.
No one wants to be that last-minute parent. You know them, the ones who procrastinated and put off shopping as long as possible, so they are out the night before Christmas hunting for the items on the top of their kids lists, only to find they are sold out! When you think about it, there are many benefits to shopping early. Thanks to Walmart and their Holiday Toyland Events, I can knock out my shopping list by Halloween! Here’s some of the upcoming dates you might want to add to your calendar:
- Saturday Oct 11th
- Saturday Nov 8th
- Saturday Nov 15th
- Saturday Dec 6th
- Friday Dec 12th
- Saturday Dec 13th
Every year my Christmas list seems to grow two inches longer! As friends and family are having either their first child, or additional children – I find it much easier to grab up extra toys to put up as gifts. Shopping early also means you don’t have to deal with the crowds and all of the stress that goes along with it!
Thanks to the Walmart Holiday Toyland Events that began October 4th, I can have the peace of mind that not only will my kids be thrilled on Christmas morning, but I can relax, enjoy the holidays and spend more time with family, instead of combing the streets shopping. And here’s the best part! These toys were selected by kids for kids! You are missing out if you don’t get to your local Walmart during the Holiday Toyland Event. By shopping at Walmart on the specific dates listed, you can see the toys that kids want the most! There will be special helper’s onsite to help you as well as Buddy the elf cut outs!! These events are the coolest because only the top toys that have been selected by children will be offered at these events. They’ve got some of the really cool ones that are perfect for kids this year like this:
Now, you may be thinking it would be a better idea to find these hot toys at a competitor store, but you could ideally end up spending a lot more money on the same items you can save on at Walmart! Now, I love to shop and I love to save money at the same time! There are several ways that you can make your holiday shopping a breeze:
- First things first, I like to window shop online. That way I can get an idea of what items I want to locate first.
- Next, I always make a list. I firmly believe when it comes to shopping, being organized and prepared is the best way to reduce your stress this time of year.
- Another benefit to shopping at Walmart is the Layaway option! When you’re living on a budget this is a great way to get the items you want and spread out paying for it, so you’re not having to try to spend a large amount out of pocket all at once.
- And last but not least, you don’t have to buy everything on your list all at once. I watch for ads in circulars and purchase here and there.
This is the best way that I have found to enjoy holiday shopping and to master my list!
What about you? How do you make budgeting to cover everything work during the holidays?
