Mungi Bands (pronounced Moon-gee), are the next new wrist band craze for kids. They are silicone band pieces with magnetic ends that stick together to make wrist bands. The pieces are designed so kids can mix, match, and trade them with others. When my kids saw these bands they went NUTS over them! The girls immediately started trading bands from one set to another just like the product is intended.
I was amazed at the different ways they came up with to play with and use them. Jasmine wore her extra band around her pony tail in her hair. Jackie likes to gather everyone’s together and make necklaces out of them. Jonathan, typical boy, thinks the magnets are fun to play with. We found it rather interesting when he started walking around our house to see what they would stick to. We have a column in the center of our house that we now know is metal…never would have guessed!
They get lost easily because they attach themselves to metal due to the magnetic ends. My son “lost” his bands several times because they attached to our car door while he was getting in. Surprisingly, they managed to hang onto the door for the entire trip and we found them dangling at our next stop.
Perfect stocking stuffer. My kids love them. I think they have a great new product on their hands… literally!
