Maternity clothes have come a long way since my first pregnancy. Back then, choices were limited to big, bigger, or biggest. I spent the entire third trimester wearing my bathing suit top because my other shirts were too bulky. With each additional pregnancy clothing has become less bulky, more flattering, d very stylish. Here we are on our fifth pregnancy; and boy has maternity clothing changed! Not only has it improved, but it has also gone from “motherly” to “rockin” thanks to MamaSan Maternity Apparel.
I received the Sweet Tooth Deviant Top from MamaSan. My daughters’ think it is “so cool”. I love how comfortable it is. Thanks to the drop waist drawstring, I have plenty of room to grow without feeling like I have a yards of material rapped around me. This is not an easy accomplishment as I can often find great tops to wear during different stages of pregnancy instead of all the way through. I have no doubt that I will be “rockin” this one until the very end.
Cupcakes are everywhere lately! Cupcake shows, cupcake shops, cupcake parties….. and I now have this fantastic cupcake top! Each arm features an embroidered cupcake. They are big, bright, and full of fun. (This is where the sweet tooth comes in for the “Sweet Tooth Deviant”.) My daughters want me to try and recreate them in actual cupcakes- could be interesting for a baby shower.
In order to complete this review I decided to wear the top today. As I am wearing it, I am noticing additional features that I haven’t touched upon:
- The material is very light and comfortable; reminds me of summer pajamas.
- The neckline isn’t too low and is at a great spot on the chest. Not showing cleavage in an inappropriate way.
- I think the tiny gathers at the neckline are very flattering to the bust.
- I love the tiny pink bow in the middle; it adds just a hint of sweetness to accent the cupcakes.
- The ruffled sleeves are very flexible and the elastic isn’t too tight. It also stretches very well to allow for any future swelling.
