The 10th Anniversary Edition of “The Devil Wears Prada” was released yesterday on DVD and Digital HD, marking a whole lot of fun for all of us! I can’t believe it has been 10 years since we got our first look at super-competent Anne Hathaway and uber-evil Meryl Streep in this one, but those ladies and this film have aged wonderfully over the past decade and they are ready for their encore on DVD and Digital HD™ from 20th Century Fox.

As you undoubtedly remember, the film is based on the hilarious best-selling novel of the same name and will leave you laughing, cringing, and clapping throughout! Relive all of your favorite moments, or discover the story for the first time, as you watch Oscar winners Meryl Streep as fashion magazine editor Miranda Priestly and Anne Hathaway as Andy. See what happens when Andy lands a job “to die for” as Miranda’s assistant – a job that might, in fact, be the death of Andy!

I love that the filmmakers are making this one available on Digital HD™ because that means that you can download a digital copy of your movie to your TV, desktop, laptop, tablet, or mobile device and take the movie with you wherever your travels take you. Plus, you have until January of 2019 to complete your included download so even if you aren’t ready to download it when you buy your DVD, you have up to nearly 3 years to take advantage of the feature.

The 10th Anniversary Edition  contain Special Features that include:

  • Audio Commentary with Director David Frankel, Producer Wendy Finerman, Costume Designer Patricia Field, Screenwriter Aline Brosh McKenna, Editor Mark Livolsi and Director of Photogrpahy Florian Ballhaus
  • Deleted Scenes with Director and Editor Commentary
  • Gag Reel
  • Trivia Track (my favorite!)
  • Digital HD™

The Devil Wears Prada – 10th Anniversary Edition is currently available. It plays in a Widescreen 1.85:1 format, and the audio is English DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1, Spanish Dolby Digital 5.1, and French Dolby Digital 5.1. Subtitles are available in English/Spanish and the film run 109 minutes. The movie is rated PG-13 and I think that is pretty much right on target. Our 14-year-old daughter is super entertained along with me, but our 9-year-old really doesn’t care too much about what’s going on. Of course the movie is closed captioned for those of us who wonder about such things.

You won’t be disappointed with the Anniversary Edition – the movie really is at least as good as you remember it being. I think it would also make a great Valentine’s Day gift for the lady or fashionista on your list this February, too! Break out the beverages and treats and grab a soft, warm blanket and take advantage of this winter weather to snuggle up and watch The Devil Wears Prada – 10th Anniversary Edition now!

Have you seen the film? Who is your favorite character? Are you more like Miranda or Andy?

Oh wow I can’t believe it’s been ten years already for this movie. I absolutely adore Andy but Miranda’s wardrobe was to die for. I’ll have to watch this weekend for sure.

Wow has it really been 10 years? That is crazy. I loved this movie when it first came out, and have seen it so many times since. So great.

I have to admit that I have not seen this movie but it does sound like something I am going to have to watch for sure. The Anniversary Edition of The Devil Wears Prada would be a great movie to watch with my mother and sisters. Thanks for sharing a great review.

I really enjoyed that movie when it first came out. It really dates me to think that it’s already 10 years old! Gotta love Ms. Hathaway and the storyline, but I’ve got to be honest…. I tried to read the book and I just couldn’t get through the second chapter. Thank goodness the movie producers veered away from the sharp language in the book a little. Makes it much more enjoyable, at least for me.

I can’t believe The Devil Wears Prada came out 10 years ago?! I remember seeing it in theaters and becoming obsessed (I used to watch it like everyday!) Such a great film <3
