While we don’t have snow yet here in Buffalo, we are KNOWN for our winters filled with sub-freezing temperatures, piles and piles of snow, brutal winds, and generally four-five months of a solid winter wonderland. And flu seasons is definitely in full swing, so I was excited when Sam’s Club (one of my favorite places to shop!) sponsored this post and invited me to come check out some of their winter personal care items that would help my family make it through the winter season!
Sam’s Club is an AWESOME place to stock up on winter care personal items. When the flu hits your family (like it does mine invariably every year), you don’t want to be running out of essentials like Member’s Mark 200 mg Ibuprofen and Theraflu Day & Night Severe Cold! Plus, winter can wreak havoc on your skin – so there’s no better place to head than Sam’s Club. In their pharmacy section, you can find winter care personal care items that will help you stock up on what you need to fight the flu and keep yourself and your skin in top shape all winter long. I grabbed things that I knew my family would need, and need lots of- Curel Ultra Healing Lotion, Dove Winter Care Body Wash, and Chapstick to keep my girls’ sensitive skin in shape all winter, Purell Instant Hand Sanitizer to help keep us healthy when we are on the go and to try and prevent the flu, and Member’s Mark 200 mg Ibuprofen when my chronic headaches fill crop up.
The best part about stocking up on winter personal care items at Sam’s Club is that it cuts down my weekly shopping – I know that these club packs are going to last me throughout the entire season – no more weekly trips to the drug store to stock up on essentials. Plus, we save in the long run because the value of the club packs is AWESOME compared to running out of smaller items that you find elsewhere!
I knew on my shopping trip that I had more than I would need for my family this winter, so I used the awesome value to create something that is always hard to buy for this time of year – my daughter’s teacher! As a former elementary teacher, I can tell you that it is AWESOME to get a little gift of appreciation at Christmastime, and what better gift than one which allows you to take care of yourself. So I grabbed a cute little lunch tote and my stash of winter personal care items to create a thank you kit for my youngest daughter’s teacher.
It was super simple – I tossed one of everything in the lunch tote, with the Purell Wipes – yes, I gave these up, because if you had any idea how icky classrooms can become in flu season, you would hook a teacher up too – in the bottom. Toss in a small gift card for coffee and you’ll have a gift any teacher can appreciate!
Easy, peasy, cute, and super useful. Toss in a handmade drawing from your child, but know that you teacher is going to appreciate a gift that will last well into the winter! Plus, you’ll have plenty of leftover products to care for your family for the rest of the winter!
Head over to the Sam’s Club website to find tips to help you take care of yourself and your family this winter, as well as some delicious recipes! What winter personal care items from Sam’s Club would you get to help best care for your family?
