I received a Sally Jane necklace to facilitate my review. All opinions are my own.
I love gifts that give back – especially this time of year, so I was so excited to review a necklace from Sally Jane, but before I show you the gorgeous necklace I reviewed, let me tell you a little bit about Sally Jane. Sally Jane was founded by a very inspirational woman who was diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer while 7 months pregnant. She teamed up with her aunt create the line Sally Jane. Their message – “Bee Courageous, Bee Bold, Bee a Survivor, Just Bee” – matches perfectly with the their bee designs, which is featured in all of their jewelry.
Their goal is to design beautiful jewelry (and they certainly accomplish that) but also jewelry that is meaningful. The bee symbol inspires us to find courage, no matter what difficulties we face, just like bees in nature. Bees provide us with many necessities, but they go about their business and persevere on. Sally Jane wants us to remember to stop and realize that we have the courage to Just Bee!
Sally Jane also gives back, which is something that is very important to me as I look for gifts this holiday season. With every purchase that you make, Sally Jane will donate $1.00 to Massachusetts General Hospital’s research campaign toward Immunotherapy as well as supportive care provided for patients and families by Friends of MGHCC. In addition, our donations will also help to fund research toward the benefits of Jin Shin Jyutsu (“jutsu”) and or to provide funds to assist with Jin Shin Jyutsu care for acute and chronic health care needs. I love to see responsible companies giving back, and when you have a company like Sally Jane that creates such beautiful work, it’s not hard to make purchasing decisions! But let’s get on to the good part – Sally Jane’s gorgeous jewelry!
I love, love, love the delicate chain – I hate a chunky clunky necklace most of the time. If you’re going to find me wearing a necklace everyday, it’s going to have a beautiful, delicate chain like Sally Jane’e Bee Pendant. The chain is very well made, and I wore my bee necklace for days and it stands up to wear – I really love it.
But my favorite part is by far the bee…
It is so tiny and cute, but at the same time reminds me to hold together when I’m having a rough day. I really love it, and I know that the women in your life will too! They have LOTS of gorgeous necklaces and bracelets (be sure to check out their wrap bracelets!) so you are sure to find something you will love! And right now, you can get 20% off and you can order until December 18, 2015 for Christmas delivery, so it’s not too late!
