This time of year, we are ALWAYS on the go.  Even though we didn’t do any heavy Black Friday shopping this year, the girls and I did head out to two stores (we needed winter coats!) and then to the movies.  We were pretty much gone all day! With our schedules crazy because of work, school events and concerts, shopping, holiday parties – you name it, we’re at it – eating healthy can suffer.  We tend to rely on fast food and take out more out of sheer exhaustion and ease.

This is why I was so excited to learn of a new product carried at Walmart:  Orchard Valley Harvest Grab & Go and multipack sizes of Cranberry Almond Cashew Trail Mix, Dark Chocolate Almonds and Chocolate Raisin Nut Trail Mix! We super excited to try them all!

Orchard Valley Harvest is a company you can get behind – they are dedicated to offering products with great quality and taste – their nuts and fruits are picked at their peak and are minimally processed.  Even better, there are no artificial colors, flavors, or preservative and the entire product line is non-GMO project certified.  For me, this means that they are snacks that I can feel good about giving to the two people I am most thankful for in my life!

The Grab & Go sizes are absolutely perfect for tucking into a purse or a lunchbox.  They are easy to open – which I know doesn’t sound like a big deal, but if my daughters can open their own snacks in the car, my life is easier!  They taste is AWESOME!  We all fell in love with the Dark Chocolate Almonds, and both of my girls asked for these for dessert INSTEAD of pie.  So you know they have to be good!

My youngest daughter loved them SO much, she wanted to set aside one in her lunch box for Monday, because she was afraid they would be all gone!  Needless to say, these were a HUGE hit.  I highly recommend you give them a shot with your kids if you’ve been looking for an alternative to chips and candy as quick on the go snacks!

And here’s the best news!! One lucky Parent Palace reader is going to win an assortment of Orchard Valley Harvest snacks so you can see which is YOUR favorite, plus a $50 Walmart gift card so that you can stock up for your busy holiday season. Make sure to come back every day and pick up daily entries!  And make sure to visit Orchard Valley Harvest on Facebook and you can find out which stores near you carry Orchard Valley Harvest products in their product sections near the other fruit and veggies!

I like to keep my snacking healthy during the holiday season by eating multiple small meals through the day! I feel like I am less inclined to pig out if I am having a little bit of food every once in a while (rather than 3 huge meals with unhealthy foods). I’d love to start eating their Chocolate Raisin Nut mix–looks yummy!

We don’t get black Friday sales in Aus… I’ve seen so many amazing sales on the last few days ;o) My whole family is very health conscious and we don’t eat sugar even at Christmas, so just like your post it’s nuts and little portion packs of them are great to always have handbag ready… great post to keep us eating well with all the Christmas temptations
