Manage Your “Because” Moments with Massage Envy

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!  What are you giving thanks for this year?  I’m thankful for my husband, my kids, my close friends, my job that I love, and my blog and all our readers!! I am NOT thankful for this round of flu that is going to have us put off our turkey dinner until Saturday!  My husband is out of town, and I’m recovering while my youngest is just getting started.  2/3 down = postponed Thanksgiving dinner.

I almost knew that I was going to get sick even before I got that first sniffle.  I push myself very, very hard.  I work over 50 hours a week at my job, and the kids have SO many activities.  Plus, I have traveled a TON lately and I could feel my body start to shut down from exhaustion and stress.  My body works HARD.  And honestly, I treat it like crap.  Trips to the gyms are not as often as they should be, and more often than not I wake up sore at 1 am when I’ve passed out from exhaustion on the couch.  Honestly, I know it’s not going to be manageable at this level forever.

I DEFINITELY have a TON of “Because” moments every week, and I pretty much don’t do anything to help get rid of that stress!  Massage Envy believes that total body care is integral to wellness, and wants to help us achieve that!  By giving us time to check in with our bodies and relax, massage can help us manage every-day stress and pain. Treating our bodies well shouldn’t be a luxury – it should be part of creating a healthier life and improving our well-being too! Us parents work hard – and it’s important to take time for ourselves to unwind and refresh, and if you’re home is anything like mine, that’s the first thing to go when schedules get busy.

    I can understand how it is easy it is to forget about taking care of yourself and making that a priority, especially with all of the other things going on in life. I want to make it a priority to take better care of myself as well. There’s a Massage Envy right next to where I live so I definitely need to check it out.

    Oh no! You guys got the flu over there? Hopefully someone ended up making you a turkey, or invited you over for some stick-to-your-ribs meal! Happy belated Thanksgiving though!!

    Whenever I’m stressed out, I’m doing things like cleaning up my room or other parts of the house. Sometimes, I watch movies that makes me laugh. But a good massage is included in mmy “me-time” list.

    I am thankful for all the blessings that come my way. I believe we must all be thankful even at times it is difficult to maintain such a state of mind.

    I really do need to check out Massage Envy. I have chronic back pain following failed back surgery and I just know a massage would help get my stress level down which would in turn get my pain level down.

    As a mom I always have because, but’s and if’s. It is really hard to juggle blogging and being a mother and most of the time we mothers really forget to pamper and think about our selves. thanks for this reminder.
