The HP MyPrintly photo project we did was fun, quick, and easy. My daughter helped piece it all together, but her sister stole the project and hung it up in her own room! Creating an art project out of some of our pictures was a fun way to relive the memories we had stored up while building new memories doing the project together.

To do our craft, we used the HP MyPrintly site to come up with some creative ideas on how to use our pictures. The printable craft idea we liked best was the photo wreath we saw on MyPrintly. This craft looked like an easy craft for kids, but it also looked like a great craft gift for grandparents, as well as a birthday for friends and relatives, or even Mother’s Day or Father’s Day. Plus, we decided that if it worked out as well as we hoped, we might be able to do other ones in other shapes (star, initial, school letter, etc.).

Using HP Photo Paper, I sent photos from my phone to our printer and we cut out the photos together. Once we had our photos selected, printed, and trimmed to our desired size, we got a section of cardboard from a recent purchase. I drew a heart shape onto the cardboard and we cut out the heart. Once we had the heart cut out, we poked a hole in the middle of the shape and cut out a section of the middle, all that was left to do was attach our pictures.

Attaching pictures to the photo wreath was easy. We attached glue dots to the back of the photos, then attached the photos to the cardboard wreath to cover the entire cardboard surface.

After all pics were on the wreath we used heavy tape to secure the hanging cord made of twine – at this point you should beware of little sisters who steal craft projects and run them upstairs to their room!

The photo wreath was a great project to do with the kids. It was new memories mingled with old and we had a tons of fun creating a memory we will keep.

I’ve started doing crafts again with my grandchildren and I enjoy it as much as they do. I lover how their finished products make them do proud and we usually make gifts for the whole family so it makes everyone happy. Your crafts are awesome and have me planning already
