* I was provided with a sample Epson PowerLite Home Cinema to review, but all of my opinions about this awesome projector are all mine!

If your family is like mine, you watch a lot of home movies!  While we really enjoy going out to the movies, it is not a budget friendly operation!  Between tickets and snacks, we will end up dropping around $50 (at least!).  So it is a pretty rare treat for all of us to head out to a new release.  We are much more likely to stay home and wait until a movie comes out on DVD or we can rent it on Amazon Instant Video.

We are pretty happy to be able to do that, but now, home movies have gotten a HUGE upgrade in our house with the Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 600 3LCD Projector!  I can tell you that we have a lot of gadgets at our house, and this has quickly become one of my favorites.  The PowerLite Home Cinema takes family movie night to a WHOLE new level  and my kids are absolutely CRAZY about this projector!  Before I show you more, let me give you a quick tour of our unboxing.

The PowerLite Home Cinema arrives perfectly packaged:

One of the best features of the PowerLite Home Cinema is how EASY it is to set up.  Basically, you plug it in, and then you use an HDMI cable to connect your laptop, Playstation 3, Wii, or other media device to the Epson.  I would imagine that you can connect many more devices, but we personally have tried out those devices so I know they work!  We tried it out first in our dining room – all you need is a blank wall!  This would be the perfect setup for a business presentation or for showing photos, etc. but this wasn’t the most comfy spot for movie watching, but it showed us how incredibly easy the Powerlite Home Cinema was to setup.

Our next move was to set up for an honest to goodness movie night.  We used a small side table to place the Powerlite Home Cinema so it would project onto the wall of our family room.  Pictures cannot adequately show how amazing the picture and sound quality is – it’s really like having your own home movie theater for a really affordable price in you home.  And I can tell you that the setup is so easy that we can get it out, set it up, watch a movie, and put it up in NO time at all.

Check out how comfy the girls are! As you can see, the Epson Powerlite Home Cinema takes up our entire family room wall, and the picture is crystal clear.

We have also hooked up our Wii to the Powerlite Home Cinema.  Can I tell you that you have not really played Mario Kart Wii until you have played it on a wall of your house?  Our family game nights have really stepped up a notch too thanks to Epson!!

I have to tell you about the price of the Epson Powerlite Home Cinema. I can also tell you having used it for a few weeks now that I would expect it to be much pricier than it is! Right now, you can get the Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 600 3LCD Projector for only $359.99 plus free shipping!  I can tell you that the Powerlite Cinema will MORE than pay for itself through saved movie tickets – why go out when you have your own private movie theatre?

Stay tuned this summer to see how we feature Epson Powerlite Home Cinema outside in some movie nights under the stars!

This is really cool! We’ve thought about getting a projector in the past but the quality wasn’t that great for the price. Looks like they’ve really been working on that because the picture looks pretty good.
