Have you heard about the new drinks from BODYARMOR? It is a SuperDrink™, claiming to be rich in antioxidants and nutrients. I know, yet ANOTHER sports drink – right! But I recently had the opportunity to try the following flavors:
- Mixed Berry
- Orange Mango
- Tropical Punch
- Fruit Punch
Some sports drinks leave something to be desired when it comes to taste so I was excited to be offered the opportunity to test these products out and give a review on them! I’ve also found that a lot of supposed sports drinks taste pretty salty but I don’t use much salt so maybe that is why! Overall, I can honestly say that each one of the flavors tasted pretty well. We tested these in our house right after sports practices for the three boys. They love new and cool products. The winners overall were the Tropical Punch and Fruit Punch in terms of flavor and appeal. Grape was at the bottom of the favorite list.
As a Mom, the fact that these drinks are loaded with vitamins certainly makes them even better! I know no matter how I try my kids aren’t getting as much vitamins as I’d like with their pickiness at times. So I love that each one of these drinks is loaded with Vitamins A and B complex, as well as C & E, polyphenols, amino acids, and electrolytes. The hydrating properties for all 6 flavors is provided by coconut water and other electrolytes (twice as many as are found in other “sports drinks”) and without all of the preservatives, fake flavoring, and artificial colors. And if you are a choosy mom like me, that is very important.
If you are looking for cool drinks that your kids will enjoy, try the additional flavors that BODYARMOR has to offer. Easy to pack and carry and supported by some of today’s biggest athletes like Kobe Bryant – it’s a win-win! My kids get to continue drinking the energy drinks they enjoy and I can rest easy knowing they have important nutrients and antioxidants in them.
What do you give your kids for drinks after school and during activities?
