Easter is a fun time for the whole family. Decorating eggs is a tradition that many kids look forward to when this season approaches. My daughter and I love crafting and when you throw in an exciting holiday like Easter into the mix it really brings the excitement up a notch. My only problem is we have colored our eggs and painted them in every way we could imagine. So we decided to look elsewhere for inspiration and it’s a bonus that we actually found great ideas that came with the supplies included. Monthly Skills Box saved the day and sends you a new skill in a box every month right to your door.
It’s a great day when you check the mail and your monthly skill box has arrived! Inside awaits a new skill you are going to learn and everything you need to learn. This month, the April box, is geared towards the holiday but you can check out their site here to see what some of the boxes in the past have included. I enjoyed learning new ways to decorate eggs for Easter and it was so easy to do because along with all of the supplies was web addresses I could go to and read about the projects.
Using the included napkin, glue, and stick on flower I was able to make this adorable egg that is not like anything I have ever made before. I love that the possibilities are endless now that I know how to craft with paper and my eggs.
I am going to buy napkins in all designs and patterns for my future crafts, now!
Inspired by the Monthly Skills Box ideas on their site I made this adorable egg couple. I used the included ribbon, marker, and the other stick on flower.
The idea cards and included supplies are great for learning the monthly skill but the box it comes in is adorable and screaming for me to decorate it! Check out http://www.monthlyskillbox.com/ and start learning new skills every month, you’ll be glad you did. Be sure to like them on facebook by clicking here.
