DIY Halloween Wreath
I just can’t express enough how much I love Halloween! To me the entire month of October is Halloween, which is why I was impatiently waiting for today so I could start decorating.
Tonight I took a break from decorating to make a quick Halloween Wreath. I had bought the materials from Hobby Lobby early in September – just anticipating this month. When I say quick I’m talking 15 minutes quick. That’s all it took to make this Halloween Wreath y’all! I’m pretty pleased with how it came out too.
I should also mention I bought all the supplies when they were on sale (50% off) plus I had a coupon. I’d say this cost me around $4.00 to make since I still have a ton of materials left. Here’s how I did it:
Make your own DIY Halloween Wreath
- 1 metal wreath frame
- 1 roll of natural burlap
- Purple Deco Tubing Ribbon
- Green Bendable Glitter Rope Ribbon
- Artificial Cobwebs
- Artificial Halloween colored flower (I went with black and white)
- Plastic Spiders
- Hot Glue Gun
To Make It:
Start by wrapping the burlap around the wreath frame. Secure it with hot glue and wrap until you meet your starting point – glue again to secure the burlap.
Next wrap the purple tubing around, leaving gaps in between. Secure the ends with hot glue. You could glue each wrap if you prefer but it would take more time.
Then wrap the green tubing in the same fashion. Gluing at the beginning and end.
Next add the cobwebs. I used a combination of black and white for a more spooky effect. Pull it then and leave it thicker around the frame of the wreath.
Who said wreaths are just for Christmas time?!
