I received Aveeno products to facilitate this review. All opinions are 100% mine!
As moms, we all want the best for our children. We strive for the best baby gear, offer them the best foods, and give them the best toys and other entertainment. When it comes to bath time and skin care, seeking top quality products should definitely be on the top of our lists!
When my first son was born, we didn’t realize how harmful some brands of skin care products can be on a baby’s fragile skin. They may contain harsh chemicals that can lead to dry skin, irritation, or breaking out. When we did realize that the brand we were using wasn’t the best choice, we immediately began searching for a better alternative – and we found that with Aveeno.
Since we have been using some of Aveeno’s baby products for a couple of years, I was excited when we were sent lots of items to review. My son has had no problems with the Aveeno Baby Wash & Shampoo, and we plan to use that for our baby boy due in December as well. I love that it’s an all-in-one wash, so there’s less bottles taking up space on the side of the tub. Plus, it saves time from switching between products when bathing a little one.
My son is now three and we are still using Aveeno Baby on him. There has been no reason to switch to anything else – as I am sure his skin is still delicate when it comes to other products that may not be the safest.
The Aveeno Baby Daily Moisture Lotion was something that we hadn’t yet tried with our son. I have noticed his skin gets dry on the back of his arms from time to time, so I used this lotion correct it. Once a day application has been enough for him, and I haven’t noticed those little dry bumps since we’ve been using it right after his baths at night.
Though Aveeno has become our top choice for baby care products, I must admit that I hadn’t tried any of their products for myself until we did this review. The Daily Moisturizing Body Wash has left my skin feeling so moisturized and smooth – even my elbows, which are my biggest problem area when it comes to dryness.
I don’t really feel the need to use lotion after my showers with this body wash – which is different from when I use my more common choices. However, I did want to give the Daily Moisturizing Lotion a try so I’ve been applying it before bed each night. Along with the body wash, it has really improved the look and feel of my skin. I like that it works for 24 hours – being a busy mom doesn’t leave much time for me to pamper myself!
My husband has pretty much taken over the lotion as his hands dry out very badly. He is seeing a lot more benefit from it than I am – his fingers are started to feel like normal skin and not sand paper!
If you are looking to solve dry skin issues for yourself or want the best skin care products for your babies, I highly recommend Aveeno.
