I participated in an Ambassador Program on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Delta Faucets. I received a product sample and promotional item as a thank you for participating.
A few weeks ago I showed you my new Delta Faucet Showerhead, this week I want to show you how easy it is to install. I’ll start off by letting you know I am the least handy person I know and attempting something like this made everyone a little nervous. However, with the clear and easy instructions provided by Delta I knew I could do it.
The first thing to do was to remove the old showerhead. It took me a little while to stop staring at the gunk built up in ours. It was stomach turning to see what was inside and around the holes; the stuff that was transferring to our bodies as we showered. Gross! Next I wrapped a couple of layers of thread tape around the threading on the stem (the part sticking out of the wall) to ensure a tight, secure fit. After that I just had to put the new Delta Faucet Showerhead on the stem and turn it until it was tight. Righty tighty!
Once the Showerhead was in place it was time to secure the handheld in its cradle. It snaps right in so I knew when it was placed correctly. Then it was time to connect the hose to the handheld piece and then the showerhead itself. It couldn’t have been easier and the fact I was able to do it myself makes it that much more rewarding. I swear, I think part of the reason I love the Delta Showerhead is that I installed it myself. That and the fact I feel like I’m in a dream every time I shower.
