The 30 Day Fitness Challenge with Mamavation & Omron Fitness officially started today. While I’ve been getting into the healthy eating habits since the 1st of January, today marks the official start day of the new me.
Part of this 30 Day Challenge is to wear our Omron 323-U pedometer daily and achieve at least 10,000 steps a day. It’s going to be a struggle for m to remember to war it – but once I get the hang of it you can bet I’ll be pushing myself t exceed those 10,000 steps. As of today, since January 1st I’ve lost a total of 19.8 pounds. I still have a long way to go but I’m going to get there.
Today was my first day of intense exercise. Believe me when I say I’m feeling muscles I didn’t know were there. My aches and pains have aches and pains; but there’s something very exciting about that! No, I’m not masochistic!
As far as food goes, I’m following a low glycemic diet – you can find my weekly meal plan every Monday to see exactly what I’m eating. I’m pushing through to workout at least 6 days a week. The pain will be totally worth it once I start seeing the new me, don’t ya think?
Here’s a message from Bob Greene. See what he has to say:
If you’ve made the decision to get fit, how are you doing it?

Way to go Amber!! That is amazing. Keep pushing yourself to reach your goals. I just started my new diet and have lost 7lbs in just the first week, so I’m excited! This year is looking good already.
Thanks, Aly! I’m pushing forward and have my eye on the big goal. Way to go to you too!
Wow 19lbs already? Way to go Amber! I’ve started a new workout routine and am pretty sore too. That shouldn’t last too long though!
Congratulations on your weight loss! That is awesome! I hope you have an amazing week!
Getting fit for me seems to have pain as well. I decided running is what I want to do (people my size shouldn’t run!) and so I have started out quite slowly. I hope that the pain, and your pains pain) diminishes in time and you start feeling great in no time!
