Being the fat girl isn’t something to be proud of; at least not for me. For as long as I can remember I have been the fat girl. Taunting and teasing in school led to comfort eating at home. As I grew older the taunting and teasing stopped, but the feelings I have towards myself haven’t. This year I have resolved to lose weight. I’ve dieted off and on more times than I can count; but I’ve never had the determination I have now.
Starting on January 13th I’ll be officially starting the journey to my new life. The life where the fat girl is only a memory. Myself along with 24 other members of the Mamavation community are participating in the 30 day #iheartOmron challenge sponsored by Omron Fitness. We’ll be challenging ourselves to move more, eat better and lose those pounds we’re so desperate to lose.
During this challenge we’ll be provided with the Omron 323-U Pedometer and the new 510W scale to keep track of our activity and weight. I’m going to be working out 5 days a week (specific exercises to be decided) while wearing the pedometer. I’m also going to be sticking to a diet based around foods in the low glycemic index and counting my calories.
During this 30 day challenge I’ll be updating my Fat Girl Diary with my progress/weight lost. I’ll also be sharing what I’m eating & my weekly exercise routine; maybe you can get some inspiration from these! I’ll also be posting regular updates, including the count from my pedometer, on Facebook and Twitter. You can follow along the progress of all 25 Omron Fitness Challenge participants with the #iheartOmron hashtag.
Feel free to leave your comments, inspiration, support etc.. using the comment form below. I can’t wait to see the progress I make and share it with you all! Be sure to follow along, because this is sure to be a fantastic ride.
Disclosure: This post is sponsored Omron Fitness as a collaboration with Bookieboo Blogging Network and Mamavation – a community dedicated to weight loss for women and obesity prevention for families. I was provided with product and compensation for my time and honest opinions.
