I don’t think there are many people in this world who don’t like ice cream, actually if I think back, I can remember a song about ice cream…. ”Happiness is…Two kinds of Ice cream….” I think that may prove my point.
One ice cream shop that has been around for a while is Graeter’s. In the 1800′s the Graeter family came over to the United States from Bavaria, settling in Cincinnati, Ohio. Louis started making his ice cream as a teenager at the base of Sycamore Hill. Graeter’s opened in 1870 by Louis C. Graeter. They were famous for their French Pot Ice Cream, fresh-baked goods, and homemade chocolates, and became a staple in Queen City. After Louis died, his wife Regina took his place, and eventually opened the first of many satellite stores. Even through all the hard times of the day, the business continued to thrive. Louis founded the store, but I think anyone would agree that it was his wife Regina made it what it is today.
Today, Graeter’s still uses the same recipe for their delicious ice cream, and the methods of production. Graeter’s has remained a family business, still being run by members of Louis and Regina’s family. Over the last three decades, just the mention of Graeter’s reminds everyone in the Cincinnati area, and beyond of ice cream. The family still operates over a dozen ice cream shops in Cincinnati and the Hyde Park store that Regina opened. There are also stores in Columbus, Dayton, and in Kentucky!
Graeter’s newest taste sensation is Black Cherry Chocolate Chip. Pairing cherries from the Pacific Northwest with their signature dark chocolate chips, they have come up with a great tasting ice cream, for anyone who loves chocolate and cherries! 
The Black Cherry Chocolate Chip Ice Cream goes beyond living up to the deliciousness of its predecessors. It exceeds them. That’s not an easy task either because all of Graeter’s Ice Cream’s are absolutely wonderful; heavenly if you will. However – the huge chunks of chocolate mingling with large pieces of black cherries scattered through the all natural black cherry ice cream is the perfect ice cream. Hands Down! I can totally see why it’s taken Graeter’s 3 years to come out with a new flavor – you can’t rush perfection!

Vanilla chocolate chip looks so yummy! I don’t usually crave ice cream in the winter, but this makes me hungry!
Now if this was all about Mint Chocolate Chip, I’d be drooling all over the screen. But this does sound delish!!
