6 Pounds Down – 94 to Go #IHeartOmron #Mamavation

Have I told you lately about how great I feel? Seriously – I haven’t felt this good in a long time. Yes, I have a long way to go – but I’m getting there. Since starting the Omron Fitness Challenge last week I am down another 6 pounds (a total of 26 pounds since the New Year!)

This weight loss isn’t typical for everyone; I have over 100 pounds I need to lose and a lot of the weight I’ve lost has been water weight. Weight loss isn’t easy, it isn’t fun and it doesn’t happen overnight. It is, however, completely worth it and something I plan on doing.  Yes, I am trying to convince myself by repeating this weekly. Well, maybe not convince – but encourage. Yea; encourage.#iheartomron and #mamavationI’m sticking with the Low Glycemic foods for the most part. I am tracking my food and exercise with My Fitness Pal daily. I am planning out my meals weekly and sharing every Monday’s meal plan on Parent Palace. I am working out and pushing through the pain of yesterday’s workout to keep it up.

Working out doesn’t come easy for me. My past idea of exercise was reaching for the remote, lifting my fork and walking from room to room. My current idea of exercise is completely redefined and kicking my butt! I’m making sure my heart rate is increasing to maximize my weight loss (and metabolism.) The exercise bike I bought has a heart rate monitor on it, and when I’m not doing the fitness routine provided by the Mamavation community, I’m on that bike. When I want to watch TV, I’m on that bike.

I have a lot more energy than I did before. I can walk from room to room without breaking a sweat or being out of breath. I can spend an hour or more outside playing with my family and dog without having to sit down. I can see the future me and how much different I will be after this 30 day challenge.

No, I don’t expect to lose 100 pounds during this 30 days – I’m not delusional. I do expect to push myself to lose as much as possible in a healthy way. Go me!

How are you doing in your weight loss journey? What’s the 1 thing you keep in mind to succeed?
