I honestly cannot begin to list all the earrings my 5 year old daughter has lost over her short lifetime. From birthstone earrings to solid gold ones, she has lost at least 15 pairs! I had virtually given up on allowing her to wear them because I just could not deal with any more tears. For almost a year she has been earring-free, but missing them. When the opportunity to review a set of handcrafted polymer clay earrings from The Black Star Boutique came along I decided to give my daughter one more chance.
The Black Star Boutique sells a variety of one of a kind, handcrafted jewelry by owner Tina Marie. She handcrafts most of her creations out of Polymer Clay. You will be amazed at what she can create out of simple clay! I was sent a trio of fruity, “Pretty Pink & Yellow” earrings made for especially for children.
I live in the US, but The Black Star Boutique is based in Alberta, Canada. I thought the shipping would take a while, but I was pleasantly surprised at my items quick arrival! They were neatly packaged in a very pretty floral bag, and safely placed in a small tin. I loved the little tin for storage, and it kept them safe! Over the years, I have received several crushed products due to poor product packaging, so I give her an A+ in this department!
I received three pairs of children’s polymer clay earrings. They were so small, yet so detailed, and simply amazing! I have no idea how her hands could craft such detail on such tiny earrings, but they are awesome! My daughter LOVES them, and they are VERY well made, and safely secured to their stainless steel backings.
My daughter has had her earrings on for a couple of days, and I see no allergic reactions, or anything of that nature. As with any new earring purchase, you should always sterilize the earring posts with an antiseptic like alcohol to remove any germs, and prevent infection.
Overall, I have only good things to say about The Black Star Boutique’s wonderful work. Tina Marie does amazing job, and her talent shines through her pieces.
