It doesn’t take long after you raise a child to recognize their “potty face.” At first it’s cute, a total “Awww!” moment. And soon it becomes an “Ugh, not again” moment. We’re at the latter stage now with our 3-year-old niece, Raegan. Her Potty Face is super cute; she looks so deep in thought. However, what comes afterwards isn’t so cute.
I caught her “mid potty”. This is her Potty face. Right after I snapped the picture she says, “ ”I stink, you have to change me.” If she can say that then she should be able to go to the potty, right?!
We’ve tried to get her excited about using the potty; we’ve bought fancy (i.e. expensive) potties and nothing seems to do the trick. I’m not sure why she doesn’t want to use the potty, but I’m trying to figure it out. We’re not giving up. In fact, we’re stepping it up a bit and jumping in head first with Pull-Ups.
See, we’re now part of the Pull-Ups First Flush Ambassador Program. What this means is we’re going to be taking the experience of potty training more serious now. We’re going to have this little princess flushing on her own! At least that’s the plan. I’m going to be sharing our stories and tips through the potty training stage with you. I may even be asking for advice from you, so be ready!
Next month we’ll be hosting a “Why Wait? Let’s Celebrate – First Flush” party. How fun does that sound? Being the diva princess she is, I know Raegan will love the party. I’m going to gather my mommy friends and the friends from our Mommy group to discuss our different experiences with Potty Training. Hopefully we’ll be able to share tips and we’ll all have our toddlers on the potty. How great would that be?!
For our party, Pull-Ups is giving us a kit that has:
- Engaging activities to get tots excited about starting potty training
- Celebration party hats and noisemakers to cheer on potty training success
- Exclusive Pull-Ups® Potty Training Fun Celebration App sticker
- Pull-Ups® Training Pants for every Big Kid® at the party
- Pull-Ups® coupon books
- And more
Sounds like an amazing time, right? Well guess what… you can apply to host your own “Why Wait? Let’s Celebrate – First Flush” party too! Just visit Pull-Ups Facebook page and apply to host your party. Sign ups close at the end of December, so be sure to do that now!
How Did/Will you celebrate your children’s first flush?
I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Pull-Ups. I received product samples to facilitate my review and to host a party. I received a promotional item as a thank you for participating.

Glad my kids are past this stage! We never did a potty party, but it is a cute idea.
We are doing a party too and I can’t wait!!
Oh my goodness! That potty face is too cute! Good luck with the potty training.
My son had such a hard time with potty training. It finally took just waiting for him to be ready for us to succeed. I hope she catches on quickly!
Awww she’s so cute! We never did a “first flush” party, but it’s definitely a big deal when they go in the “big kid potty” for the first time. Thankfully I have 3 of the 4 potty trained and we’ll tackle #4 (who is turning 2 next month) this summer.
Good luck!
