It definitely felt like an early Christmas present when I opened up the Portenzo Handmade Cases I was offered for a review. Each case is handmade and I got to select the colors I wanted and everything. It was so much fun. I received a iPhone case and a Kindle case.
The Handmade Portenzo iPhone case is made with real leather and wood. It is so sturdy and strong. I read on the site that the leather is imported from South America so each case is original. It makes the phone look like a book and so sophisticated. The phone will not easily slip out which was a concern before I actually got to hold it. Something I had not considered until I received the case is that now I need a screen protector for the phone. It is protected until I open it and since I have children I do not want the screen to get scratched.
The buttons on the side of the phone are not as easily accessed but it will just take getting used to, but all the cords attack without any problem.
There were only a couple little issues I had with my iPhone case:
- The elastic can get in the way of the picture if you are not mindful of it
- It is a bit bulky so it makes holding the phone in one hand and texting with the same hand a bit of stretch but I will likely get used to it.
- The Bookcase for the iPhone is NOT flash compatible. I did not realize that before ordering. I questioned them about it and they informed me that if the opening were bigger it would compromise the strength of the frame. But they do offer the iPhone SLIM which is frameless and is flash compatible.
The Handmade Portenzo Kindle case is awesome! There is not a single thing I have found out about it that I do not like. If I had to mention something it would be that the sticky strips to hold the Kindle in place so it does not fall is seriously strong. 
In fact, I am almost afraid to remove the Kindle for fear of hurting it. But I do not need to remove the Kindle so that does not bother me. In fact, I love feeling that it is SO secure. Again, I got to choose the colors of the Handmade Portenzo case and it was especially made for me! It is sleek and sturdy but lightweight enough to sit around holding it. In fact my twelve year old who loves to read said “It feels like I am holding a real book.” She loves it too! Good thing I planned on giving it to her (if I can bear to part with it)!!
I would absolutely recommend the Handmade Portenzo Kindle case to anyone with a Kindle. I love the look of the Handmade Portenzo iPhone case as well. My only hang up is I am far pickier with my phone because I use it ALL the time. But I honestly do not see anything about the iPhone case that I do not think I could get used to over time. All products at Portenzo are unique and handmade especially for the owner! That makes this a perfect gift! They look so nice and are protective as well! You really get the best of both worlds.
