During the colder months especially, some of us around my house experience some dry, flaky skin issues. Nothing concerning or long-term, just uncomfortable and unsightly spots that are always a pain to treat and recover from fully.
No longer!!
I received for the purpose of review a great product called Monkey Balm. It comes in a stick-style applicator, and at first I wasn’t sure how we’d use it. Occasionally my twin toddlers have a slight reaction to something in the laundry, and since we cloth diaper around here then their little bums are just red. So, I put some on my baby boy to see if it helped. For his next diaper change, the redness was gone! Because I kept putting the diapers on him, it keeps coming back, so I’ll continue using the Monkey Balm if it seems to bother him.
I wasn’t super excited about though, because really, who wants to hear about my baby’s red bottom?
Know what though? As a busy mom of 5 kiddos, sometimes I overlook the small things. One day this week, probably Thanksgiving if I was to guess, I overdid it. I’m a large woman and (I hate to admit) sometimes my belly button gets red, itchy, and flaky. It’s embarrassing!! Never have I found anything that helped much, wasn’t a mess to apply, and didn’t have to be used for a week. It almost clears up by itself in that long.
Monkey Balm cleared it up in less than 48 hours! The instructions say to reapply 2 to 3 times a day, and I didn’t even remember to do that, so it may have worked even sooner if I had. I applied a total of twice and by the time I went to bed the second night, the redness and flakiness was gone, but so is any trace that there was ever anything going on in the first place.
I’m so excited about this and am going to share with my friends and family, because I love it when a product actually works extremely well and does what it claims to do. Monkey Balm is a fantastic product to have around “just in case,” and I know our home won’t go without it from now on!
You can buy Monkey Balm at their online store, and can connect with them on Facebook.

I have dry elbows in the winter so i tink i would use it there.
I’d love to try it on some of the flaky spots I have near my scalp and behind my ears. I currently use a prescription medication to treat it.
