Headblade ATX Holiday Gift Box

My husband started balding in his late teens.  By the time we met when he was twenty-four, he was completely bald on top.  Fortunately, he has a perfect cue ball-shaped head because I honestly can’t imagine him with hair.

We just received the HeadBlade ATX Holiday Gift Box to review.  This includes one Headblade ATX, one HB4 refill pack, and 5oz of HeadSlick. I was so excited to tell my husband. When he got home I told him… “you’re getting a race car for your head!”…. he was very confused.

From My Hubby:

It’s yellow.  It has wheels… The biggest thing is getting over the fear of it being so different. A friend of mine had one and he scared me into thinking that if I turn my hand the wrong way I would be sliced. I don’t have a problem with the hold – maybe it is just him.

It does a very great and clean job. I don’t think I have ever had my head be as smooth as it is.  With the wheels on it, I know where the blade is going to go. I can feel it. I have more control than with a traditional disposable razor.  Much more manly looking than the pink razor my wife normally buys me. (haha) 

The Head Slick seems to work really good. It lathered up nicely. It took a little getting used to.  The first time I used it I was taken back by the mentholated cream.  Now that I have used it a few times I can shave my head quicker. I have less razor burn/ingrown hairs.

I enjoy using it.  It cuts close, it is smooth. I don’t have to shave so often because it does such a great job. 

Question to my husband:  When you run out of razor cartridges, will you have me order more?

Answer: Yes! No more pink razors for me!

My Best Advice:

Before using the HeadBlade, watch the videos on their website.  My husband learned techniques and tips that he would not have otherwise known.  For instance, the “All Terrain” ATX Razor, can also be used for shaving anywhere else as well. However, there is another method for holding the razor when it is not in use on the head.  My husband didn’t know this and grew frustrated when trying to shave his face with it.  I hopped on to their YouTube Channel and discovered the alternative hold.

Warning!

Keep it away from kids!  My husband took it out of the packaging to read the instructions and left it on the dining room table… Jagger thought it was a race car.  He got a hold of it and was found driving it around the floor.  Fortunately, he didn’t have the idea to remove the razor’s cover!  Your little ones may know not to touch your traditional razors, but this one looks like a toy, kids will think it is a toy, keep it HIGH and AWAY from them!

This Week in Bald – Ha!  The CEO of HeadBlade is too funny. Send your husband a YouTube clip from this guy.  He will want a HeadBlade just because he loves him!
