When it comes to entertaining family & friends some people panic while  others remain cool, calm and collected. While you’re running around trying to find something that’s entertaining for everyone, take a minute to breathe. While your family and friends may have different personalities, chances are everyone enjoys a great game.

Who doesn’t love a good board game?

Having a stockpile of games at your disposal is the perfect solution to entertaining family & friends. Seriously! But you need to go a step beyond the usual board games. Break out games not everyone has played a hundred times and you have a winner. 

What Kind of Games?

Games like Anger Management, Domino Rally, Cupcake Race, or even a great brain teaser like Brainstring for starters! These are great options for presenting something new to family and friends for a game night, holiday gathering or any other time. 

Have you even sat in traffic and felt your face getting brighter and brighter red? Do you have pet peeves that drive you crazy? Anger Management is the perfect way to “blow off some steam.” 

This game is all about showing us it’s possible to lighten up and laugh off those little irritations we’d otherwise flip out over. The object of this game is to be the first one to get “absolutely steamed.” That’s how you win. To get steamed you answer questions with a person’s name (maybe your own); if the majority of other players also name that person you fill your meter by 1. If you’re the person the majority names and you name yourself you fill your meter by 2. There are more ways to fill (and deplete) your meter as well.

I love that you get bonus points for getting “picked on.” That happens to me a lot, and I’m usually the winner! This game is made for people 14+ But I’d suggest it more for the adult crowd. While there isn’t so much mature language the game is inappropriate – the behavior of the adults playing may get out of hand haha. I also like that the game has tons of questions and reusable cards with dry erase markers.

My family loves dominos, so having a modern twist of a classic favorite is awesome. The Speed Dominos are genius and a great addition. While this isn’t exactly a game, it’s a great way to spend time together – setting up something – and have tons of fun watching it all fall down!

Domino Rally comes with everything you need to create your ultimate set up including 2 loop-de-loops, 2 domino race cars, a ring of fire, custom domino tracks and a tall launching bridge. 

You can even race an opponent to see whose car gets through the ring of fire first! This is something the entire family will enjoy and makes a great addition to your entertainment arsenal.

“Mix it, Bake it, Frost it, Top it! So Much Fun, You Just Can’t Stop It!” That’s the logo of this game, and it’s so fitting! This is the perfect game to get the toddlers involved in family game night. I was a little worried at first that it would be too “girly” but everyone had a blast playing Cupcake Race.

The object of this game is to be the first to fill, bake, decorate and top your cupcakes for the big party. It’s great for younger kids, but older kids will enjoy it as well. The colors are vibrant and the rules are simple enough for even the younger kids to understand.

This game is recommended for ages 4 and up and I totally agree.

I’m a sucker for brain teasers and puzzles; I haven’t met anyone who doesn’t enjoy them. Brainstring Advanced brings endless hours of entertainment to life. 

The object of this puzzle is to twist, turn, slide and stretch the puzzle until the solid colors are in the same area. It sounded super simple at first. Then we realized that we can make the tangles even worse! My son is the only one who has completed this so far. I’m still working on it and several friends have been defeated as well. 

This is an excellent boredom buster for a group to entertain themselves. Everyone will have suggestions to offer, but who will be able to untangle the knots?!
