I am so happy that I got to review Babiators sunglasses. My daughter loves hers. She loves the way they look on her and I love that they protect her eyes. Babiators offer 100% protection from dangerous UVA and UVB rays. They’re also BPA free and comply with CPSIA and FDA regulations.
Unlike typical plastic sunglasses, Babiators’ pliable rubber sunglasses can withstand whatever your child throws at them. We all know that children are rough on things! Babiators claim they can take it. I think that is amazing. My daughter has been through a ton of sunglasses. It is nice to know that they made these sunglasses strong enough for kids. Also, Babiators are the only sunglasses with a lost and found guarantee! If your Babiators are lost or broken, they will replace them!! Now that is impressive.
I read some interesting facts on Babiators website and they are worth sharing. I did not know this stuff before visiting their website but I am glad to know it now. I want to protect my kids and their eyes.
When compared to adult’s eyes, children’s eyes have fewer natural protections against UV exposure, making them more likely to be damaged.
The more time you spend outdoors, the more susceptible you are to sun damage. Published scientific research concludes that up to 50% of lifetime UV ray exposure may occur by age 18, so it’s imperative that we protect our children’s eyes now!
According to Dr. J. Keller Wortham, a physician with Optimum Wellness Family Medical Group in Los Angeles, excessive exposure to the sun during daily activities can contribute to cataract formation, macular degeneration, pinguecula and pterygium (growth on the eye’s surface), photokeratitis (snow blindness), and skin cancer on the eyelids.
The EPA recommends you wear sunglasses even on days with a low UV index!
Perhaps the most important thing of all {at least to kids} is how cool these shades look! My daughter thinks she looks like a rockstar in these glasses. And I think she looks pretty, too. Also, she has dropped them {as kids do} and they haven’t broken yet, so I am pretty impressed by that.
Babiators come in two different sizes: Ages 0-3 and ages 3-7+. You can choose between 10 different colors. My daughter got a pink and black pair. What color pair would your kids like?
