We just received a cute shirt and toy from PetSmart for Izzy this Christmas! If you didn’t know, they have a complete holiday line with some of the most adorable doggie gear. We received their PetHoliday™ by Top Paw™ How The Grinch Stole Christmas Tee and Martha Stewart Rope Ring.
Merry Christmas Izzy!
When everything from PetSmart arrived my kids gathered around wanting to know what we received. They were all fairly bummed that the package wasn’t for them… except Jasmine. Instead, she says “That’s Izzy’s! I want it! I love the Grinch! I wonder if I can wear it!” …and on it went. She still insists that she is going to wear it at least once this Christmas! Earlier she asked Izzy if she minded her borrowing it – crazy kid.
Izzy wears the shirt well. It is very cute on her. She has worn it all afternoon and into the evening. It has stretched a little. I have pulled it up once, or twice, because I felt it was sagging around the neck slightly. There is a warning on the directions that states:
This item is intended to be used for a short duration, under close supervision. Do not use for more than a few hours. Fit should allow for two fingers to fit between the item and the neck. Do not use as a restraint.
You should know that I am not a “doggie clothing” person. However, I do put her in clothing when it is for her health. This time of the year she gets cold easily. I cannot stand to see her shiver, so she is my first doggie to ever wear clothes. (My husband says she is spoiled… I prefer “well loved”)
We also received a cute Martha Stewart rope toy for her. This toy is part plush and part rope. I generally do not allow Izzy to have plush toys, as a puppy it caused her to confuse her toys from the children’s. I do allow her to use a plush and rope combinations because the rope helps her make the distinction between her toys and the kid’s.
I had difficulties photographing her with the toy because she was moving and movement isn’t good for my camera. Instead I filmed her playing with it with Jasmine.
In case you haven’t noticed, Izzy is a Blue Pit. My husband and I carefully made our decision to adopt Izzy as a puppy based upon advice from our veterinarian. If you have questions about the breed, I encourage you to ask your vet their opinion. I am sure they will agree with mine in saying they are wonderful, intelligent, and loving pets.
