Jagger is such a boy. He loves monster trucks, tractors, and construction equipment. He refers to cars as “cool cars” and says “tractor” in a BIG voice. I often rely on these likes to get him dressed for the day as he isn’t fond of changing clothing. His normal response is running away, hiding, throwing himself on the floor, and kicking me. The only way I can get him to cooperate is when I allow him to pick out his t-shirt himself.
When I was introduced to Zutano, I knew he would love the Construction Collection of clothing. I placed him on my lap and allowed him to look with me. Once we made it to the dump truck screen tee, he was thrilled.
We were fortunate to receive our Construction Tee in a short sleeve option. I see that they now only offer it in long sleeve for the winter season. Here in Florida, our winter’s don’t justify too many winter clothes. We get more use out of a short sleeves that can be layered when cool weather arrives instead. (Whew, it appears our order was placed just in time.)
Our shirt is a little different than the long sleeve option as our stitching features a wide contrasting brown. Both shirts are made from 100% cotton that feels fantastic. I love cotton because it is comfortable for the little ones to move freely.
We also received their Boardwalk Pants that go with the shirt rather nicely. Although these are a pant, I like that they can be rolled up for days when our afternoons are warm. Versatility is key here as we may have a cool morning that quickly turns into a warm day. I enjoy having one pant that can serve double-duty.
The morning Jagger was to wear his outfit for the first time I called him over to check it out first. He quickly sat down and allowed me to change him – without fuss! I think his reaction is the best recommendation I can give. If he likes it enough to allow me to change his clothing without throwing a fit – it is a hit!
