Rocky Mountain Mattress: Latex Mattress Topper

For the past 6 years I’ve been fighting to get my son to sleep in his own bed. Every night I tuck him in and 15 minutes after I’m in bed he’s standing there at the foot with the same excuse “I had a bad dream.” Now, this may be more believable if it wasn’t within 20 minutes of me tucking him in (meaning he never went to sleep.) At 10 years old I really feel like he needs to sleep in his own bed. Not to mention once he’s in my bed he takes up the majority of it since he’s a tosser, kicker and often slap you in the face’r. I need my rest and I don’t get it when he’s in my bed.

Thinking it may be a comfort issue, we bought him a brand new mattress and bed 7 months ago. It’s only a twin, but I don’t even have a brand new bed – and his was only a year old. “It’s too hard mom, it hurts my back.”

Sigh.

Natural Latex Dunlop

It was a little firm and there wasn’t a whole lot of padding to it but I wasn’t about to go out and buy another new bed or mattress. Rocky Mountain Mattress sent us their Natural Latex Dunlop for a twin bed and I was so eager and excited. He was a little hesitant at first and shrugged and said fine. We opened up the package and the mattress topper puffed up and looked amazingly comfortable right away. I sat it on the bed and unrolled it to fit on top of his mattress. It was a perfect fit – no overhang or shortcomings at all.

I offered him the first crack at the newly revamped mattress but he wasn’t having it so I laid on it. I could have fallen asleep right then (if he hadn’t poked me when I closed my eyes.) I couldn’t believe how comfortable this Mattress Topper was or the difference it made with his bed. I’m not sure if it was the incessant rambling of “oh my god, oh my god, oh my god” or the look of absolute comfort on my face that made him push me off the bed so he could try it out. His reaction was much like mine.

Needless to say the boy has since refused to switch me beds and has been sleeping in his own for the past 2 months – with the exception of the occasional real bad dream. I’ve also noticed he’s not sleepwalking anymore which is a definite bonus. I can’t begin to describe the comfort of the Natural Latex Dunlop Mattress Topper. It’s like nothing I’ve ever laid on before and the fact that it’s Natural Latex means it’s hypoallergenic and antimicrobial and I don’t have to worry about it bothering his sensitive skin.

This mattress topper comes in a firm and medium plush version – so whatever your preference they have you covered.  It’s heavy enough (4.25 pounds) that it wont move if you’re a tosser and turner but not so heavy that it’s uncomfortable.

If you’re suffering through restless nights and not getting the sleep you want or need then a Mattress or Mattress Topper from Rocky Mountain Mattress may be just what the doctor ordered.
