Glamourmom Transition Nursing Bra Tank Review

So, in case you didn’t catch it in my last review… We’re pregnant with baby number five!  We are very happy and our little ones are very excited to have a new baby brother or sister coming soon.  Meanwhile, I am still nursing our youngest… I don’t know how to wean him.  I’m working on figuring that out. In the meantime, I still need cute maternity clothes too, so long as they work with him as well.

Thankfully, Glamourmom offers their Transition Nursing Bra Tank which is perfect for someone who is pregnant while nursing a toddler.  I have had mine for a little over a week now and I dread the days that it is not washed and able to be worn.

I live in the South where I can wear a Tank during almost any month of the year.  If it is cold, I pair it under a long sleeve button up.  When it is comfortable, but too cool for the tank alone, I pair it under another short sleeve shirt that maybe shows a little too much cleavage on its own. When it is hot, I wear it alone.  There are so many ways I have worn this tank over the past two weeks that again, I am saddened when it is dirty.

Special features

  • This tank sits at a comfortable place on the bust that isn’t too high or too low. You may adjust the spaghetti straps to achieve the appropriate length for your body. The built in bra consist of sturdy elastic that doesn’t shift or move as it shouldn’t. After the first wash, the elastic becomes softer, more comfortable, and less “plastic” feeling.
  • The length is as long as I would like for a shirt to be. I like to have the maximum length on my tanks without being too long and dress-like.  If you would prefer the longer tank, shorter shirt, layered look; this tank is perfect. When I bend over, I don’t show my backside.  The tank covers everything it should.
  • The material (92% Cotton, 8% Elastane) is very stretchy which will allow for plenty of room to grow.  At this time, it appears to bounce back into shape if I stuff the shirt and remove the “stuffing”.  I can’t comment on the long-term effects of being stretched during the later portion of pregnancy.  But it does appear that it will bounce back to a hug a smaller postpartum belly.
  • The nursing clasps are small enough to not be “obvious” to others that it is a nursing tank. My youngest often pulls on my shirt when he is ready for “mommy time”. The clasps don’t open or break from the pulling when he does this. They only open when I want them do.
  • The color of the tank doesn’t bleed during the wash or onto the skin as some black shirts can do.  I have washed it several times, in hot and cold water, and the color has not faded, the shape has been maintained, and the wrinkles are non-existent.
  • The tank is very comfortable.  I have worn it all day, taken naps, slept, cleaned, and conducted my daily routine while wearing it.  I never felt restrained. The bra never became uncomfortable after long wear, and again, I even slept in it without complaint.

If you are looking for a comfortable nursing & pregnancy tank, I encourage you to try this for yourself.  I am certain you will be as pleased with the results as I am.
