Baby Einstein Sea Dreams Soother

First time parents and those who have been there a time or 2 can attest to the struggle with bedtime and naptime with babies. No matter how soundly they are sleeping while you’re holding them, as soon as they touch the mattress they scream. Then you have the fight to soothe them and get them back to sleep – it can be an all day/night job. Many of us use mobiles and other animated gadgets around the crib in attempt to soothe the baby back to sleep. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don’t. I am a big fan of Disney’s Baby Einstein and their products.

I’ve always been a fan of this method of soothing. I believe it helps in a child’s development to see and hear different sounds as they drift off to sleep. I’ve seen these products work wonders on babies and seeing that little face light up at the site and sound of a product intended to soothe a baby is priceless.  When I was sent the Baby Einstein Sea Dreams Soother I had mixed feelings. Initially I was jealous. Jealous that this product is available to parents today. This would have saved me many, many hours of pacing, pulling my hair and headaches. I was also overjoyed because I have a very precious yet spoiled niece who doesn’t like bedtime or nap time one bit. I knew this would help us all out when she stays with us.

The first thing I noticed about the Baby Einstein Sea Dreams Soother was that it came with a remote. This immediately caught my eye as I realized just how beneficial this would actually be. We all know that if we walk into our babies room while they’re still awake there’s a huge chance they’re going to get upset and beg to be picked up and coddled. It’s heartbreaking not to run in and scoop them up but we know they need their rest. With the remote that comes with the Baby Einstein Sea Dreams Soother you’re able to stand at the doorway (up to 15 feet away) and turn the Soother on or off. That alone made this the perfect soother for us!

Another feature I liked was the fact it’s versatile. You can secure it to the crib using the universal perfect fit crib attachment. If you happen to have a toddler who is no longer in a crib then that’s not a problem since you can use the Baby Einstein Sea Dreams Soother on a bedside table too! No matter what your child’s sleeping arrangements, the versatility of this Soother has you taken care of.

The colors used in the Baby Einstein Sea Dreams Soother are stunning. They are bright and fun and sure to peak the interest of your little one. The movement and lights inside the Soother are amazing and very realistic.

The Baby Einstein Sea Dreams Soother will turn itself off after 25 minutes but that’s not the best part of that. The Soother will gradually reduce its sound in 10 minute intervals to help your child fall asleep. I love that! Optionally you can also adjust the Soother so it plays in 1 of the 4 different modes: melodies-lights-motion, melodies only, ocean sounds-lights-motion, and ocean sounds only. I love the melodies-lights-motion mode because it keeps her content until she quietly drifts off to sleep. The melodies are classical compositions which are said to be enriching to children’s brains!

I can’t say enough good things about the Baby Einstein Sea Dreams Soother. It’s fantastic and everything a parent, aunt, uncle, grandparent etc.. could ask for. It’s amazing.
