HAPPY NEW YEAR! Are you ready to start your New Year’s off with a great review and giveaway? For the entire month of January I will be featuring Potty Training Products. For those who may have decided to finally potty train their little one this year, I will have you covered!

I remember how hard it was with my oldest son. He was three, almost four, when we finally had him potty trained. I think it was a combination of us not knowing what to do, me working outside of the home, daycare’s laziness, and my son being terrified of the BIG POTTY that made it take FOREVER! I must admit, it has become much easier with each child since. I am already getting our eighteen month old acquainted with his new little potty. His favorite feature thus far is his Toilet-Time Targets. They are these adorable little targets in different kid friendly shapes that we have used in the following fun ways:

  • Since our little one isn’t big enough to use them as “targets” just yet, we followed the directions listed within our new package and we allow him to scatter them inside the toilet bowl. I don’t let him do this too often but if I notice he is starting to shy away from the potty experience I have been using this idea as a great reminder that potty training can be fun too!
  • Another way we encourage the “fun” side of potty training is to put a new target in the big potty and in his training potty after each use to prepare for the next time we enter the bathroom. Afterwards, we are using our own “see how they’re doing” method to remind him to go back into the bathroom throughout various times of the day. All I have to do is say “Mommy thinks it is time to go to the potty to see how the [insert shape or animal name] is doing! Do you want to come with me?” and he comes running to help me!
  • Teaching how to flush! Half of the fun of using Toilet-Time Targets is getting to flush them down the drain! Amazingly, this has been a WONDERFUL tool for my six year old daughter in helping her to remember to flush the potty. She too is enjoying being able to put a fresh target in the toilet after it is flushed! This is a major accomplishment as our older children are constantly complaining that our little one forgets to flush when she is through.

No matter how old your little ones are, they are going to enjoy these targets. All of my kids, from my oldest, down to the baby are enjoying all the fun involved with our Targets! Have you seen them before? Maybe you saw them appear on the Rachael Ray Show when it appeared on her “Human Lab: Potty Training” back in September! I think Rachael always has the cutest products on her show for kids. This one is no exception. They are adorable and a genius idea. Much better than the old Cheerios method I remember from our oldest.

Product Information: Open your package like a book and you receive a nice note from the makers on potty training your child. On the opposite side of the package are a few quick tips on how to use your targets along with a few general potty training tips. Slide out a set of targets and peel your first one away from the rest. Each animal or shape are cut together in a stack in order to stay together well when not in use. Targets come in the form of animals or shapes. I have noticed: Elephants, cats, dogs, hearts, fish, bear, horse, bunny, and ducks. 100 targets are included within each package!

Disclaimer:  I was given complimentary Toilet-Time Targets for the purpose of facilitating my review. No monetary compensation was given. All opinions expressed herein are unbiased and not influenced by the developing company or its affiliates in any way.*

YAY! It’s a Giveaway! Eight lucky readers or followers will win their own set of Toilet-Time Targets for their little one to enjoy!
