You’re sitting around the kitchen table, the man of the family is sharpening the knife to carve the turkey. Everyone’s smiling and eager to dig in to the beautifully browned bird and suddenly…Dad chops his finger off? Yup. That is my most vivid memory of Thanksgiving in all my years.
