Holiday Music Review: The Jimmies Moma Said Nog You Out, Heavily Endorsed by the Fruitcake Defense League

This CD was a joy to receive in our home.  Although I am very much a “no Christmas until after Thanksgiving person”, I am happy to say I didn’t mind popping this one in and previewing some wonderful holiday music.  I say “holiday” because this CD offers music for any variety of celebration you are having be it Christmas, Hanukkah, or Kwanza.

All of my kids loved the entire album however “Nothin’ for Christmas” and “I want a Hippopotamus for Christmas” were their favorite…. Yes, even the titles of their songs make you want to smile and giggle. Listen to these: Nogturne in C Minor, Marshmallow World, Jingle Bells Redux, and Chrismukaah, are just to name a few. Pop this in at your holiday gathering and it’s bound to get people talking and laughing… at least, I can’t imagine anyone not cracking a smile.

Don’t know The Jimmies? They are a fun and quirky kindie rock band that believes “every day is a holiday”. Best known for their Practically Ridiculous album which is the winner of many awards, including a Parent’s Choice, they are so good that parents and children of all ages will enjoy all they have to offer.

The CD is sold exclusively at Barnes & Noble for only $13.99. I would recommend this as a gift for any child, family, or educator. Score silly bonus points with your holiday party hosts by forgetting the flowers and bring them something to truly smile over!
