Curamin Review

3 Flares 3 Flares ×

I hurt. All the time…Since I was young I’ve had bad knees and a bad back, which I blame my father for. I clearly remember him when I was very little, laying on the floor flat on his back, knees up to his chest, trying to stretch out his back after throwing it out. Or, lacing up a girdle (which I’ll probably get a phone call tomorrow from my mom after they read this chastising me for mentioning Dad used to wear a girdle for his back (Sorry Dad,  Love you.)

My first year of college I had two knee surgeries, one on each knee, to correct some of the problems. But honestly, after having two children, they hurt just as much as before. Carrying around a 15-month-old monster is exhausting and my body feels it. In fact, I threw my back out a few weeks ago picking up Finn and when I hiccupped at dinner, I thought I might pass out.

I hate taking pain relievers and anti-inflammatories. They seldom work and over use can destroy your stomach. So my interest was piqued when I was introduced to Curamin. Have you heard of Curamin? How about curcumin? Yep, me neither. But, I have heard of turmeric, a commons Indian spice (which we use often in our Indian cuisine – a new found food passion). Curcumin comes from tumeric, which in turn Curamin is made from.

Curamin sent me a 3-week sample of the product with a bunch of literature. Not only is it used to lessen inflammation and as a result offer pain relief, it offers numerous other health benefits. It is known to help lower blood sugar, making it a helpful supplement for diabetics. It is known to aid in weight loss. It helps fight cancer-causing cells by making the damaged cancer-cells repair themselves.

I don’t know if all that is true, but I do know that after 3 weeks of taking 3 Curamin at bedtime, I have noticed a difference. Walking up and down the basement steps isn’t as painful and my back doesn’t scream in agony every time I pick the little monster man up. By no means is all my pain gone, but it’s an improvement. Usually when I wake up in the morning and climb the stairs to get Finn something to drink, my whole body is stiff and sore and doesn’t quite want to work right. With the last 3 weeks of Curamin, I feel like the Tin Man after the oil can.

Curamin says you can take up to 3 pills a day, which is what I chose to do, or as needed when pain sets in. They say that if you take it as a pain reliever, you should feel relief in 15 minutes or so. I can’t speak to that since I wasn’t hurting when I look my first dose and just kept taking it after the initial.

I think this product would be great for an athletic person who is experiencing pain as you age. Or, for the worker who has to throw heavy bags or boxes all day long. If you’re concerned about what you put in your body and what it does to you, this is a safe alternative.

You can visit Curamin’s website to locate a health food store near you that sells the product (http://www.curamin.com/stores/).  You can also buy Curamin on Amazon.com. Visit their Facebook or Twitter links to get up-to-date information on the product and company. Or while you’re on their website, checkout their podcasts.
